In addition to the heightened security measures required by ALTA Best Practices to protect private, non-public information, TRID has essentially merged the Truth-in-Lending (TIL) Disclosure and HUD-1 Settlement Statement into one document, the Closing Disclosure. This is the single biggest change to the residential real estate transaction process in the last 30 years.
